Does it work? Do you like it? We always strive for a resounding yes to these questions.
Our Design team are passionate about delivering solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and usable.
This is an integral part not just of our design process, but our whole methodology. We have developed a formal way of thinking about design, with many of the core usability heuristics originally devised by leading usability analysts at its core.
HeathWallace designed & developed a set of design templates for Standard Life to promote the launch of their new online policy servicing system for IFAs.
This has been a hot topic for HeathWallace since the foundation of the company. We have a passion for accessibility issues; not just because it is the right thing, but because we know there are significant knock-on business benefits.
Our passion does not border on fanaticism! We will help you to interpret the W3C guidelines in such a way that leaves you compliant, but every solution is different. It is our common-sense approach to accessibility that gained us entry to the Guild of Accessible Web Designers.
Creating the right visual interpretation of your brand online is at the heart of what we do. We have come to learn that less is often more.
Depending on the type of project, we would normally deliver a set of design concepts for review. One of these concepts can then be refined to deliver the required look and feel.
Your website needs to reinforce your brand and it should be a pleasant site to look at. However, none of this should be at the expense of usability!
It is important to think about websites in terms of the sales journey you want users to take. Once the journey has been mapped out, our designers are adept at creating the appropriate design treatments for pages at each stage of the journey. For example, graphically-rich pages are appropriate for promotional parts of a website, where the objective is to capture the user's attention. However, once a user is engaged in a process (e.g. application), it is unnecessary and sometimes distracting if the pages are cluttered with imagery.
The journey flow and the design treatment therein are integral components of a successful sales focused website. Our team of designers will work closely with Information Architects and our clients to ensure that each design is optimised to achieve great results.
